Pre-requisite: Certified graduate of Barefoot Basics, higher than average fitness level, upper arm and abdominal/core strength. We recommend a minimum of 6 months experience of continuous AOBT clinical practical hours before you sign up for this course.
You will learn two footed posterior strokes that are gliding to be combined with the sequences and protocols learned in Barefoot Basics. Theory and lecture focuses on chronic pain of specific back conditions and identifying and qualifying clients for this treatment. This seminar requires therapist to hold half their body weight off partner for periods of time while proper foot coordination and comfortable movements are delivered. Being able to perform 4 or 5 military pushups is a great measuring stick to see if you have enough upper arm strength to deliver comfortable pressure while learning these moves. Start working on your biceps and triceps now so you will be conditioned by the time you sign up for your advance level training. This will make your learning experience that much more enjoyable. Instructional video guide available for additional charge.
On the 3rd day, you will be shown the art of fusing science, movement, healing, and rhythm into a seamless, flowing barefoot dance. Pivots, turns, cross-over and exchanged foot and hand-rail strategies will allow you to blend appropriate strokes into a massage with no beginning, middle or end. This truly is the essence of our mission statement, "The deepest most luxurious massage on the planet".
